SHO were asked by Creative Taste to create a brand identity for their new offering called Smoke & Roast. Serving a variety of delicious slow roasted dishes cooked over open coals to give a distinctive smokey flavour, and creating signature dishes like the pulled pork sandwiches.
The design concept for the brand identity was centred on the slow roasted nature of the food, looking at marks, techniques and typography like branded stencilling that capture the character of the food.
While the cooking is a slow process the service offering is quick, offering a new flavoursome choice to the grab-and-go offers already on the high street. With this in mind the application of the brand identity to elements like the signage, livery, packaging, digital, and overall branding is very much a quick hands-on style of the boutique family store.
